The Certified Life Coach (CLC) credential is one of ILCT’s internal certifications, attained through a progression of coursework and coaching experience
ILCT’s program has consistently been awarded the Accredited Coach Training Program (ACTP) designation from the ICF, meaning that all courses offered by ILCT can be utilized to meet the coach training requirements for ICF credentials, as well as CCE requirements once each student has become credentialed. ILCT was one of the first coach training programs to be accredited by the International Coach Federation.
The credentialing program is a progression of classes designed to enable a student to develop his or her skills with each class taken, while working towards becoming a professionally-credentialed coach. To graduate from ILCT’s ACTP program, students will complete 130 hours of training to meet all of the coach training requirements for the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential. Once the coursework is completed, the final requirements to graduate from ILCT’s ACTP program are the completion of two essays and a final oral exam, conducted by ILCT, allowing students to apply to the ICF for credentialing after meeting other ICF specified criteria.
